In the middle of 2022, Colombian artist J Balvin shared a photo on Instagram featuring himself and Nodal with bleached blond hair, captioned “find the differences.” Nodal responded by reposting the image, addressing the prompt with his comment, “I have actual talent and can proudly sing my compositions, how I want to, wherever with pride.” A few days later, he dropped the diss track “Girasol” targeting Balvin.
