What is Reba McEntire’s net worth?

An American country music singer, songwriter, producer, and actress, Reba McEntire boasts a net worth of $95 million. Throughout her career, she has sold over 90 million records worldwide. She is also known for her acting career, most notably for her television show “Reba,” which aired from 2001 to 2007. Furthermore, she has released 16 #1 albums, making her the female country artist with the most #1 albums to date.

Growing up in a rodeo family, Reba developed a love for music early on. Her career took flight in 1975 when a music executive noticed her performance of the National Anthem at a rodeo, leading to her signing with Mercury Records. McEntire’s initial work was heavily influenced by traditional country music, but she later incorporated more pop elements, showcasing her artistic versatility. This evolution helped expand her audience and contributed to her commercial success.

With numerous accolades, including multiple Grammy Awards, Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, McEntire has made a significant impact beyond music, with substantial contributions to television, film, and Broadway, highlighting her diverse talents.

Early Life

Born in 1955 in Kiowa, Oklahoma, Reba McEntire began her performance career during her teenage years on the rodeo circuit. Initially, she attended Southeastern Oklahoma University aiming to become an elementary school teacher. Outside her studies, she performed at local venues. During her sophomore year, a standout moment came when she sang the National Anthem at the National Rodeo in Oklahoma City, which caught the attention of country artist Red Steagall. Impressed by her vocal talent, he brought her to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1977, where she recorded a demo that led to her signing with Mercury Records.

After returning to complete her degree, she graduated in December 1976, and just a month later returned to Nashville to record songs for her debut album. Her first single, unfortunately, did not achieve significant success, reaching only #88 on the Billboard country chart.

In August 1977, she released her self-titled debut solo album, which did not perform well commercially. However, her second album, titled “Out of a Dream” in 1979, included a cover of Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams,” which became a top 20 hit.

Success

Reba McEntire experienced a major breakthrough in the early 1980s, transitioning from country to pop with a string of number one singles during the 1980s and 1990s, such as: “How Blue,” “Somebody Should Leave,” “New Fool at an Old Game,” “I Know How He Feels,” “The Heart Won’t Lie,” “Does He Love You,” “Till You Love Me,” and “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter.” By the mid-1980s, virtually every album she released achieved multi-platinum status, including her 1993 greatest hits compilation that sold over 5 million copies. Reba remains active in her music career today.

Having won an impressive 90 awards from various organizations and receiving nearly 200 nominations, McEntire also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording in 1998 at 7018 Hollywood Blvd. In 2006, she was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame.

Her self-titled TV show premiered on the WB network in October 2001. The series ran for 127 episodes across six seasons, concluding its airing on The CW in February 2007. For her performance, Reba received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series–Musical or Comedy.

Since then, Reba has contributed her voice to various projects and made guest appearances on multiple talent shows and films. In 2023, she portrayed Judge Kim Wheeler in “Reba McEntire’s The Hammer,” and she is slated to join “The Voice” as a coach.

They finalized their divorce in 2015. Through her marriage to Narvel, she became the stepmother to his three children: Chassida, Shawna, and Brandon. Notably, Brandon Blackstock was formerly married to singer Kelly Clarkson. Additionally, Reba and Narvel share a biological child, a son named Shelby Blackstock, who is a race car driver. Their divorce was finalized in October 2015. In 2017, she began dating photographer Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo, but they separated in 2019. Additionally, they owned an 80-acre property called Starstruck Farm situated in Gallatin, Tennessee, approximately 30 minutes northeast of Nashville. This estate features a 12,800 square-foot lakefront residence, a large swimming pool, a pool house, equestrian facilities, and tennis courts.
